British Transport Police Arrests One Of It's Own

The British Transport Police has reported to the BBC that it has arrested and charged one of its own inspectors in a sting operation set up to catch crooked policeman. The sting was carried out to conduct surveillance and apprehension of a Transport Police inspector named at press release time only as "Callahan."

Callahan had been selected to head up the Transport Police's crackdown on sexual assualt crimes regularly committed in London's busy and crowded underground. After months of heading up the effort with great resources devoted to it, but with no increase in the number of arrests, officials at Transport Police headquarters became suspicious. Indeed, the number of arrests for sex crimes committed on London's tubes had decreased.

The Transport Police enlisted the aid of the British Secret Service to conduct surveillance on Callahan, who was suspected of having gone "bad." In only a matter of days, Callahan was spotted on a packed morning rush hour train thrusting his groin and pelvis into the buttocks of several young female commuters on the train.

Callahan was immediately detained by the Secret Service, and his victims were asked to seek formal charges against him. The BBC is told that two such victims did give statements and requested that formal charges be filed against the now fallen Inspector Callahan. The full names of these two victims, known only as Heather and Christina, have not been released at this time.

At the writing of this report, Inspector Callahan remains in the custody of authorities, who expect that additional charges will be filed. It seems that Callahan also resorted to threats and intimidation to get the silence of his subordinates, some of whom may have also participated with Callahan in some of his many underground sexual assaualts on women.
