Re: login ID

Firstly, you do not need to register yourself to post a message even after the login ID is introduced. You can still use your handle. (Though unregistered handle can be impersonated.) If you leave "Name" blank, "Guest" is your name. Nothing is changed so far.

If you elect to have login ID, you can have a title.

An example:
if you are "DR IRON DICKK", and you want to identify yourself by the title "MAN OF THE YEAR 2002", then your name is shown as "MAN OF THE YEAR 2002: <b>DR IRON DICKK</b>" in that the title is a plain text.

The impostor can not have exactly the same. He may call himself "<b>MAN OF THE YEAR 2002: DR IRON DICKK</b>" in that the title is not title but a part of the name - the title and the name are both bold-faced characters.

If this is not clear enough, I set CGI to give all members one title, "registered member" or something, which can not be used even as a part of the name.

Further, registered member may access the board "http://www.frottophilia.com/forum/member.php" instead. The board presents you "member ID" field then. No "Name" nor "Email Address" again. Fill ID field by your ID and the CGI replaces it by your handle (name, title and email address if you choose to show an email address too) once you post your message.

So, ID is an additional tool. You can ignore it if you don't like it.
