I think some great suggestions have been made to improve this board. Somebody suggested a search engine, and we got one. Great improvement! Then, somebody suggested a map, and we got the "ethnography." Another great improvement!

There is no reason to change things just for the sake of change however. We have to ask whether a proposed change really makes things better, worse, or has no real impact at all. I believe in keeping things as simple as possible. Not simplistic . . . but simple.

I think the way we have been recognizing writers for good stories works just fine. Give out a "Man of the Month" award for each month. Then, give out a "Man of the Year" award for the best writer during the year in question. Rule number 1: If it ain't broken, don't fix it!
