Max Mond hasn't fooled anybody. People have won the Man of the Year award for different reasons. Maybe they were funny like Dr. Iron Dick who was the first person to ever win it. Maybe they were out there doing something very different, like Garry Groper who was actually filming his groping techniques (hope the boy ain't in jail somewhere!). Or, maybe they were fantastic writers, such as Opportunist. I had my reasons for voting for Max Mond, including some of the very ones you reference.
