Japanese sites against chikan

There are few Japanese sites giving advice how to avoid/drive back chikan. And here are some notable advice.

Do not take a crowded train, bus, etc. If you have to take public transportation, avoid rush hour. If you cannot choose the time, choose the line if possible. Some lines are notorious for chikan. Those lines have many schools on the line and the schools have many female students. Many perverts come to be on these trains no other reason but only to touch women. The lines to go certain downtown shopping quarters also have bad reputation. Young women go shopping there. Whilst lines go to places patronized by old women are safer.

If you are touched, cry out. If you are not sure or your are too embarrassed, look back and look down at his hand. If you have verified that he is touching you, look at his face. Stare into his eyes. If it does not stop him, you may grab his hand, pinch or scratch. Alternatively you may step on his foot. Some women carry a safety pin with them to stop chikan.

You can get off the train at the next stop only to get in from another door. Make sure that the chikan is not following you.
