A flamer is a well studied species in the internet. He flourishes where a lot of name-calling and mud-slinging going on, but he wears off if he is ignored completely. He is looking for your emotional reactions, from hate to disgust, to satisfy his crooked mental needs. He needs to be hated. So, do not hate him. Just ignore him.

I already mentioned that I tolerated many messages even though some of them are questionable in nature. I will keep this position as far as difference in opinion is concerned. But if flaming continues, I must take some action. Yet another reason I tolerated many messages is that I do not have enough resources to chuck garbage away.

I'm the only webmaster here working my spare time. The site is made on free web space and free massegaboard. To repel a flamer technically, I need better equipped web space, which, quite naturally, costs money. And no computer automatically sorts out a flamer from ordinary guests. So I need someone who regularly checks the site. He must know a computer well and he must be able to make sound judgments. That doesn't come cheap either.

If flaming lingers, therefore, I may discard this site or sell off. To tell the truth, I was approached by some porno company last year. They wanted to buy this site. They have resources. They can keep the site clean. But if they get this messageboard, they will throw out whatsoever disturbs their business. Any opinion against frotteurism will be deleted immediately and the site will be filled with wild fantacy. That is contrary to my first intention.

Then I may entrust the site to a selfrighteous anti-chikan activist group. And they will fill the site with selfrighteous moral preachings. And in one week the site is deserted and serves nobody.

So, please endure even if you see flaming and you just ignore it.
