sandra and i arrived at canes around 5:30. after waiting in line for about half an hour they let us in. while waiting in line we talked to zane, he recognized me right when i arrived. sandra forgot her id so she had to go back to the car to get it, i waited inside. after sandra returned we took up positions right by the stage. i saw colleen and josh and some other familiar faces so i chatted with them, mainly colleen. i met some other girls too and we all started talking and ranting about other girls we saw onstage sitting there. we couldn't figure out their relation to the band. anywho, the first band that played had potential. the lead girls voice was melodic and made me happy. the shins played next baby. mhmmm i like that band. they played a lot of songs off their album, it was way good. i like those boys, the keyboard guy is so goofy looking, but way cute, i love it.

between modest mouse and the shins playing i went and purchased my goodies. two posters 2 modest mouse shirts and one shins shirt. all very swell indeed. i was able to stash the shit under the stage.

so then modest mouse came on and everyone went crazy. i was right up front to begin with. unfortunately during the second or third song some ass hole in a white shirt kept reaching his hand through the crowd and grabbing me. now i don't know what his intent was, whether he was just trying to pull himself forward or what, but he was grabbing areas he should not have been grabbing. it was making me very upset. so i called him an ass hole and moved away. so then the music was great, i rocked out, they played my favorite songs. but then another ass hole got behind me! grrrr. he was practically dry humping me as he "moved to the music". it made me so uncomfortable. so i had to move again. and after the second move everything was fine, great. they played cowboy dan near the end and i got totally into it. so yeah, the set was fun.
